This Giving Tuesday, we want to highlight our work at The Exchange. We are so excited to see the relationships developing there but we know that there is more to be done. To help that happen we are asking that you make a gift to ensure that we can continue to grow our thrift store and support of small businesses on the commercial corridor. A recent article in Philadelphia Magazine highlighs our work at The Exchange and on the business corridor https://www.phillymag.com/news/2018/11/03/new-northeast-philadelphia/
This investment in the lives of our families can make a difference for a lifetime. Thank you for considering a generous Giving Tuesday gift! Help us reach our goal of $5,000 on 11/20/18. http://occcda.org/donate/
We are excited to have a pledge of $15,000 as a 2-1 match from our board and an anonymous donor for end of year giving. For every two dollars raised, the pledge will kick in one dollar. I invite you to prayerfully consider joining me in giving to ensure that our incoming Executive Director will be able to continue bringing healing and hope to our community through the love of Christ.
PS. Check out this fundraising journey where all proceeds are for OCCCDA’s Adult Education program. Joe Beech, our volunteer coordinator, retired in June and in celebration he biked from from coast to coast, from California to Florida (2500 miles!) to raise funds for the program.
