The Exchange opened in August 2018 with the mission to establish a thrift store business that will make available a wide range of high quality secondhand goods and products at affordable prices to the low-income residents of our community. Our goal is to provide entry-level employment and job training to low income and refugee/immigrant community members in addition to long term, generating income to support our ongoing community and economic development work in Oxford Circle.
The Exchange is also our new headquarters for our community and economic development work. Equipped with classroom and meeting spaces, we are collaborating with several non-profits to provide expanded services at this location to meet the economic needs of our community. The Exchange is located right in the heart of the Castor Avenue business corridor so will be the center of our work to build a shared community vision for our diverse corridors.
